Today
Today was St. Patrick's day I wore a long sleeve green shirt and a khaki green vest with a green armband that said Happy St. Paddy's Day.My mom made the Hoggys Recipe mac and cheese, which was wonderful. In addition we had greens. Sounds like soul food that would meet Lent Criteria. The greens just had seasoning, no bacon or whatever.
My family has never been Catholic. I however could not help but joke about expressing solidarity with the Catholics since we had a meatless meal. Perhaps we were making up for some Irish Catholics who had to have their corned beef and cabbage in honor of St. Paddy's day.
